My name is Lesley Cassidy and my passions in life are writing, photography and the Ottawa Valley.
I’m a freelance writer who has written for Northern Ontario Travel, the Ontario By Bicycle Network, the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association, the Madawaska Highlander, and others.
I write clear, sharp, relatable stories. I shoot images that complement and add layers to the narrative. I love characters with a tale to tell, blustery days, grey wooden barns, patios, history, unique statistics, and gravel roads. I’ve been curious since I crawled into the medicine cabinet at two years of age - which resulted in a hospital visit.
When not writing, I bicycle along old logging roads, hike, snowshoe, and knit. And occasionally, snowmobile. I survive on dark hot chocolate, and most importantly, I love to adventure and put it on paper.
